The Friends of the Washakie County Library meet on the

2nd Thursday of each month at 4 pm at the library in Worland.

The Friends of the Washakie County Library is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to strengthening the ties between the library in Worland and the community. The Friends believe in the value of public libraries, and we support our library through volunteerism, programming, fundraising, outreach, and advocacy.

We are always looking to grow our organization, and we welcome anyone who loves their library and wants to make a difference! More information about our group can be obtained through our Facebook page @friendsoftheworlandlibrary, by e-mailing us at WorlandFOL@gmail.com, or by attending a monthly meeting.

There are several ways that the Friends of the Washakie County Library benefits the library in Worland:

  • Fundraising efforts like our annual luncheon and silent auction as well as book sales from the Booktique
  • Sponsored events like Read Across America and the yearly Gingerbread House Contest
  • Community Outreach like the procurement and maintenance of the Little Free Library boxes placed in the local parks
